What's new in the teen room
I'm happy to report that the hawks will be visiting us, after all. The show will take place on Saturday, August 4, at 3:00. It will be in Whippoorwill Hall. If you love animals, be sure to mark your calendars for this one!
And, if you love science and the night sky, you can still join junior astronomy club! We had a GREAT first meeting last Tuesday. The only downside was that it was too cloudy to use the telescope, but clear weather is forecast for this coming Tuesday. So why not look in on the club if you're around? It starts at 7:00 p.m.
See you at the library!
I'm sure I wasn't alone in looking forward to the visiting hawks and owls. But they aren't able to get here today because their van broke down. So we are going to try to reschedule. I'll let you know the new date as soon as I have it.
Keep looking up!

Most people say that a sequel is always worse than the original. Ashen Winter has proved this false. The novel by Mike Mullin provides a constant flow of gripping action and adventure. In this sequel to Ashfall, the main character, Alex, and his lover, Darla, go on an epic adventure where strength and faith are tested. Readers of Ashfall will not be disappointed with Ashen Winter.

Hey, everyone! Summer programs are starting now. On Saturday, June 23, we have one you won't want to miss. Talons! A Bird of Prey Experience is coming to Whippoorwill Hall at 5:30. If you love animals, you shouldn't miss this show - you will never get closer to hawks and owls!
That's Mama, and she is indeed big! Come meet her Saturday. :)
Of course, we've also got reading club, crafts, Astronomy club (more about that next week!) and game club will be continuing into the summer, as well, if people are interested. And don't forget about our ongoing scavenger hunt with prizes, the Quest for Truth. There's lots to do in the library this summer. See you there!
